Name: Hillary Ravick
Year: senior
Major: communication studies
Minor: marketing
What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus? “I am mainly involved with the Office of Housing and Residential Life (OHRL). I’m a resident assistant and a social media coordinator for the 33 Beekman Residence Hall. I am also a part of the RA selection and recruitment committee, and a member of the Student Government Association (SGA) and will serve as President of this year’s senior week committee and an honors student.”
What is the best part about being a RA? “The best part about being a RA is facilitating relationships between the students and Pace as well as relationships among themselves. Often times students come to school and feel a little lost because they aren’t active in the same clubs or organizations they were involved in during high school. We as RA’s get to help students fill those voids and create an attachment to Pace by being that lifeline that helps them get connected. This is my third year as an RA and I’ve been fortunate enough to have had a hand in the growth and development of multiple residents. It’s very gratifying to see how much individuals can flourish in a year.”
Where have you interned at? “I’ve interned with Fluent Group (Marketing Agency), Escalate: An Experiential Marketing Agency, Praytell: A Creative Communications Agency, and I’m currently serving as the digital media intern for WhistlePig Straight Rye Whiskey.”
What are your plans after college? “After college I plan to move to Nashville to work as a Digital Strategist in a marketing agency while obtaining my masters degree from (fingers crossed) Vanderbilt University.”
Tell us a fun fact about yourself “I am a HUGE concert junkie, and I try to go to a show at least two times a month no matter the genre or venue.”
