“I’ve been having a lot of acne breakouts lately. What’s a way to get it under control?”

-Concerned Girl

I suffered with acne and it was such a vulnerable time for me. So, I’m so happy to answer this question! I created a skin care routine and did it every night. I use Cetaphil and it works amazing and inexpensive! Use it in the mornings and nights and then wipe face with Witch Hazel, using a cotton ball. Both can be found at a Walmart or a Target. I would also do a face mask once a week, Indian healing clay is an awesome one but is strong so I only recommend keeping it on for 5-10 minutes. Now, keep in mind that everyone’s skin is different and you may have to make some adjustments but don’t give up. Persists is key! Also, hormones play a big role. I would consider asking your doctor about birth controls for acne purposes (not all birth control will help with acne) and doing some research on birth controls. You can also do things like clean eating, drinking plenty of water and minimizing stress.

P.s. You can also do a skin analysis that will create a regimen fit for you on Mario Badescu and they’ll send you a free box of the samples.. Who doesn’t love free sample?! ;)
