    My Favorite Pentatonix Christmas Songs

The holiday season is right around the corner, which means it’s time to start blasting my carefully curated Christmas playlist. While this playlist obviously includes classics such as “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and “Last Christmas,” it also includes a good amount of Pentatonix. And before you ask, no I’m not a choir kid, I’m just a sucker for rich acapella harmonies. So here’s a quick list of my favorites, in no particular order!

    Lessons from a Freshman

College. New beginnings, unpredictability, experiences that you've never even imagined having. It's the time of your life while being the time you really learn about life. At the time of a pandemic especially, college has thrown a whole new set of obstacles our way. I have definitely lived what felt like four years my first semester. Through ups and downs, trials and tribulations, I must say: there were A LOT of lessons learned. Here's what I learned from my first semester of freshman year.

    Combatting Seasonal Depression

As I sit here, looking at a pitch-black sky at 4 in the afternoon, I wonder how time passes so quickly? It feels like two days ago the sunset at 8 pm and stepping outside got you drenched in sweat. I cannot be the only person who has seen countless memes on Twitter and Instagram complaining about how sudden daylight saving time came on and how much damage it is doing to the collective psyche of the younger generations.

Vogue's December Issue: A Moment for Gender-Neutral Fashion

In Vogue’s 128-year history, only nine men have appeared on the cover — and always a part of a couple. Harry Styles was the first man to appear on the cover solo, wearing nothing less than a floor-length saloon dress and a double-breasted black tuxedo jacket from Gucci’s Autumn/Winter collection.

    Netflix Christmas Movie Rankings

With the second wave of COVID-19 currently happening and a potential lockdown looming over the end of our semester, it’s time to push those books aside, warm up a cup of cocoa and get comfy in front of the TV with your family watching corny holiday movies! Netflix’s Christmas movie selection, although shamelessly corny, is filled with great picks for that perfect winter night celebrating the holidays with love in the air. Here are my rankings of all the Netflix Christmas classics to tune into this December.

  • Five Ways to Take Control of Your Pandemic Holiday Spending

Welcome to the holiday whirlwind…amid a raging pandemic! Everyone is busy finishing their work for the year, shopping (online) and preparing for the most wonderful time of the year. In the madness and excitement of it all, it is easy to overspend.

    The Dangers of Delivery Apps

One of my newfound discoveries during quarantine, besides Animal Crossing and Spotify Premium, was Doordash—the ability to instantly order from my favorite restaurants (especially the local ones) with the convenience of never leaving my couch. In fact, these delivery apps were so much so part of peoples' lives this year that revenues from these apps grew 226% in 2020 alone .

  • Holiday Shopping and Helping the Planet

As we switch gears from Thanksgiving to the holidays, we amp up spending to purchase gifts for our loved ones. Throwing our wallets at trendy stores last minute may end up with great presents, but it hurts the environment. By implementing just a few things, you can make your holiday shopping so much more sustainable.

I didn’t start playing video games until this summer over quarantine when I finally bit the bullet and bought myself a Nintendo Switch. Six Korean Artists to Listen to If You Are Not Into K-pop

In the past several years, K-pop has, quite literally, taken over the world. Fear not — I don’t mean world domination, but rather a new genre of music and culture that has spread outside its origin country of Korea. Whether you’ve heard of K-pop through the talk of BTS performing at the Grammy Awards or Blackpink appearing on SNL, there is a good chance K-pop has wiggled its way into the vast horizons of your mind.

  • How to Be Thankful During a Hard Year

There is no denying that 2020 has been an extremely challenging year for everyone. There has been a global pandemic, political unrest, wildfires, and just about everything in between. With the loss of so many peoples’ lives and jobs, and college life essentially being canceled, it’s hard to think of things to be thankful for this year.

The Five Stages of Course Registration

It’s that time of the year again. Yes, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, but also the dreaded week of Spring course registration. Alex Trebek: More Than Just a Game Show Host

Whenever I go to my grandmother’s house for dinner, we always watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! together after our meal. J eopardy! was always my favorite of the two; there’s something about screaming answers to questions you may-or-may-not know at your TV that makes the whole experience all the more fun. However, one of the best parts of Jeopardy! was its charismatic host, Alex Trebek. He always had a way of incorporating humor into the show and it was clear that he was passionate about his work.

    Those With Less, Hurt More
