10 Songs to Get You Through a Trump World

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at New School chapter.

In a shocking twist of events, Donald J. Trump has won the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Hillary Clinton did receive the nation’s majority vote, but thanks to the Electoral College, that victory has been overshadowed. Our nation has never been more divided. Minorities are afraid, left-wingers are protesting, and the citizens who voted Red are excited to ‘Make America Great Again.’

In such a time, all we can do is focus on our similarities and push our differences aside. And what better way to come together than through music? Here’s a playlist of 10 tracks to give you hope, remind you what really matters, and keep you going when all you want to do is give in.
