The End of the Semester: Told by “Broad City”

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MSU chapter.

The time has finally come. The end of the semester is almost here — it’s so close, you can almost taste it.

But part of this journey includes one small barrier in your way: finals week. Whether it’s your last semester, your first, or if you even have a victory lap ahead of you — the last stretch of the semester  is brutal for practically all college students.

At this point of the semester, you feel extremely burned-out.

You can’t escape daydreams of your bed each time you go to class.

…which leads to you losing your focus in pretty much every class you attend.

It can feel like you’re losing every last bit of motivation.

When you’re finally done with your classes, you know the relief will be glorious.

You have some work to do beforehand, though, and you keep catching yourself doing…

Pep talks are crucial for your success during these hard times.

Some stretching every so often helps to get that blood pumping in between studying.

…but sometimes that doesn’t even do the trick.

So, you might make a quick detour on campus to get some relief from therapy dogs.

You try your best to get in the ZONE before it’s time to crush those last presentations or exams.

Waiting for your grades to come back in has you stressin’ a tad…

…or a lot.

Then, you remember that the end is near!

You feel yourself pushing through and doing what seemed to be the impossible.

When you finally finish the semester, it feels GOOD…

…like, really good.

Sweet, sweet relief.

Stick with it, collegiettes — a bountiful amount of free time lies ahead!
