It’s hard to believe that Christmas/Chanukkah is just around the corner. As exciting as it is, we all know how hard some people are to buy for. In other words, the boyfriends or close guy friends on your list. They never seem to need or want anything! The following ideas should help get the juices flowing on what to get for that special guy in your life this holiday season.

1. Sweaters galore

Now ladies, don’t let the simplicity of this one fool you. Trust me when I say that every guy could do with a nice new sweater (Christimas/Chanukkah-themed or not). Men always seem to need new clothes, so what a perfect time to get them some. It’s usually pretty easy to get a sense of your guy’s style and based on that, you can pick them out the perfect sweater that they’ll be wearing every day for the next year.

2. Sports Themed Gift

It seems that guys always have one sport that they are fanatical about. If you haven’t already discovered what that is then do some digging around! Otherwise get them a gift related to their sport of choice. Check if there are any games happening in town and purchase some game tickets. If that’s not an option look for some sport-themed gear (ie. hats, jerseys, or maybe an item they would use in a sports game).

3. Cologne

Guys love to smell good just as much as us girls do and a new fragrance is always nice. Why not trying purchasing your guy a cologne? Hopefully they don’t take it the wrong way and think you’re hinting at something.

4. Records or concert tickets

These days it seems that everyone has a record player (courtesy of Urban Outfitters). If your guy has a record player pick a few of his favourite records. Music is always a gift well-received. If they don’t have a record player take a look for some upcoming concerts. Maybe you’ll find a favourite performer or band is coming into town, which would make an awesome surprise gift.

5. Something more personal

A more personal, customized gift is always a good idea. Compiling old photos together and making an album is always fun or even going that step further and creating a scrap book of your relationship/friendship. Those types of gifts are forever cherished and always hit a more sensitive spot.

6. Dinner

Food will never let you down. It is always, let me repeat, always, the way to a mans heart. Take them to dinner at their favourite spot and you’re good to go. You could even try a new restaurant or make it a mystery place. Surprises are always fun.

7. Some bling

Maybe your guy likes a little bit of jewelry? Or perhaps a watch? This gift is getting up there in the price range but if they’re that special to you then why not. There is no price tag on love (much to the budget’s dismay).

Hopefully one of these options works for you or fuels another good gift idea! Happy shopping ladies.
