My Goal is to Read 50 Books This Year—Here’s What’s On My List

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marist chapter.

At the beginning of this year, my first New Year’s Resolution was to read 50 books in 2019. Excluding books for school, so far I’m doing pretty good. I read 13 books in January alone before I came back to school for the Spring semester. But since I got back, my reading has definitely been slowing down.

All the school work, responsibilities and desires to sleep or watch Netflix in my free time haven’t left me a lot of time to read. But summer’s coming up, and my favorite thing to do is read on the beach. I’ll be making a serious dent in my reading list, and hopefully will nearly complete my 2019 goal.

Here are some of the books I’ll be loving this summer:

1. Normal People by Sally Rooney

2. Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult

3. The Seas by Samantha Hunt

5. Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton

8. Jailbirds: Lessons from a Women’s Prison by Mim Skinner

I hope you enjoy them as much as I know I will!
