Campus Cutie: Vinny Mannarino

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marist chapter.

Year: Junior

Major: Communications – Public Relations

Hometown: Bronx, NY

Relationship Status: Single

HC: Why did you pick Marist?

VM: It just sort of made sense for me to go here. There was no real deciding factor, I just knew this was the right place for me.

HC: Favorite memory so far at Marist?

VM: Carrying Mexican food onto The Goo Goo Dolls’ tour bus after they played the SPC spring concert was pretty interesting. The entire bus was shag carpeted.

HC: What are you most passionate about?

VM: Music for sure, it’s been a huge part of my life pretty much for as long as I can remember. I started drumming when I was 13 and that really influenced the place music has in my life.

HC: How has music played a role in your Marist experience?

VM: I’ve met a lot of my closest friends through music here either through finding out we liked the same music or meeting people that were also musicians and then playing at open mic nights together.

HC: What’s a fun fact about yourself?

VM: I’m pretty sure I know all the lyrics to every song on blink-182’s Enema of the State album.

HC: If you could only eat three things for the rest of your life, what would they be?

VM: I almost don’t want to answer this question but if I had to choose I guess I’d say pizza, burritos and any type of sandwich.

HC: Describe yourself in 3 words.

VM: Next. Question. Please.

HC: Who is your hero?

VM: I’d say my older brother, but don’t tell him that. He’s always been a person that I have looked up to and he recently completed a six-month-long police academy so his determination and drive is inspiring to me.

HC: Celebrity crush?

VM: The 16-year-old in me would be mad if I didn’t say Hayley Williams.

HC: Dream job?

VM: Founder/CEO of my own record label.

HC: Favorite pick-up line?

VM: Is your dad a drug dealer? Cause you’re dope!
