I recently purchased a new Accord, and I have been incredibly pleased with both its appearance and its practicality. Here are a few of my favorite features of the 2018 Accord Sport, which is one trim up from the base model:
External Appearance
In my opinion, the exterior of the Accord is the most attractive of comparable sedans, including the Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, and Nissan Altima. I test drove all of these competitors, and I found the outside of the Accord to be the most sleek. It has a long hood and a somewhat short back. Additionally, the Sport trim includes chrome exhaust pipes in the back, a rear spoiler, and much more sophisticated rims.
Internal Appearance
More importantly than the exterior, I liked the user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing appearance of the Accord’s interior. Honda majorly updated the Accord in 2018, eliminating their previous dual screen display, condensing to one all-inclusive screen. While the Camry and Sonata had outdated-looking interiors, the Accord and Altima had almost identical, more modern-looking interiors, and the Accord is more reasonably priced.
Apple CarPlay
This upgrade is one of the primary reasons I decided to purchase the Sport trim instead of the basic LX. The Sport has a touch screen, allowing for the use of Apple CarPlay. Major apps, such as phone, messaging, maps, and music apps are available through the car’s screen, as well as containing Siri voice activation.
Comfort
The Sport trim comes with a 12-way power driver’s seat, which has been a huge asset to me. I like to sit extremely upright, and this car allows me to sit there easily a. The steering wheel is leather-wrapped, which gives the wheel a nice texture. In addition, the different temperature controls for the driver and passenger ensure that everyone is as comfortable throughout the drive.
