The world’s oldest and largest indoor flower show returned to Philadelphia earlier this month to put on its 188th show (and not to mention ease our spring fever). The show ran from March 11 to March 19 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and this year its theme was “Explore America: 100 Years of the National Park Service”. The centennial celebration commemorated the National Park Service by creating designs that were inspired by iconic parks like Arcadia, Cape Cod, Yellowstone, Yosemite, and our very own Valley Forge. Florists worked tirelessly to create beautiful and boldly colorful displays using everything from wildflowers to desert blooms. Goodbye winter and hello spring.
Missed this year’s flower show? Not to worry, just catch it next spring when the theme of the show is Holland. For general information visit http://theflowershow.com/.
