We all have people in our lives that matter to us. They laugh with us, cry with us and some times do stupid things with us that turn into great stories later on down the road. I’m sure those people would do anything for you and you would do anything for them. So right now, I want to take the time to brag about my people.

These girls are what I like to call my soul sisters. They’re my soulmates, but in best friend form. You know those people that make you laugh like no other person? The people that when you’ve had the worst day you just text the group chat and instantly forget why your day was so bad.

Well my girls, hopefully like your people, have been a part of every major aspect of my life. Good and bad. We held hands while bowing at our first dance recitals at the ripe age of four. We went through the god-awful side bangs, too thick eye-liner and peace sign posing for every picture phase in middle school together. We maneuvered high school and college applications together. We watched each other graduate and cried while holding on to each other as we prepared to move more than 15 minutes from each other.

We’ve fought over the years. Oh, the glorious fights. Some lasting months, even years. Others lasting five minutes because we were too hungry and needed to go find food to only realize the hunger was the real instigator of the fight.

These girls are more than best friends. One would say like sisters, but closer (you know who you are;)) They’ve held my hand when times were rough and cheered me on at every major moment in my life. They’ve listen to me endlessly stress that I am failing a class when they know that really means I have a B, but they hold their sarcasm back (mostly) because they understand that it’s a big deal for me. They’ve saved every ugly Snapchat I have ever sent to the group, laughed at every terrible joke I’ve made and let me cry at every stupid movie we’ve watched while subtly rolling their eyes (Alice Upside Down anyone?).

They’re superstars in their own ways, inspiring and pushing me to be better. They’ve fought hard to get where they are today, sometimes making the tough and scary choice to change directions with their life or even go back to school. Through it all they allowed me to be there and support them while watching them grow into the strong beautiful women they are today. I feel honored and blessed to have these wonderful girls in my life. Waking up knowing everyday that I’m their best friend and they’re mine is sometimes all I need to get through the rough stuff.

All that being said, Shannon, Shelby, Autumn and Sara I love you for being you and for letting me be me. I’m proud of you for everything you’ve done and overcame. I couldn’t do life without ya!!!

P.S. I know I’m the sappy one. Just let me have it.
