A Review on Kanye’s New Album and Trump Jr’s Tweet

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Jefferson chapter.

Okay…so Kayne just dropped a new album and, not going to lie, I am a fan of some of the songs. Well, I only like three songs on it. “On God,” “Everything We Need,” and “Hands On” are my favorites. “On God” is definitely on repeat, it has some good lyrics and a good beat.

Besides the fact that Ye dropped an album…can we please talk about Donald Trump Jr’s tweet about the album? Here it is on Twitter for those of you who have not seen it yet.

My reaction…

My question is why does dangerous and unapproved have quotations around it? Is he trying to be sarcastic in his tweet? In an interview with DJ Zane Lowe, Kanye talked about how the album was created to spread the gospel because he has now turned to Christianity. So, I am wondering if Donald Trump Jr’s tweet was mocking liberals and saying that they do not speak with the idea of Christianity because it is quote… “dangerous, unapproved.”

Despite the political influence around this album, check it out if you please! Sometimes it is more important you support the art, not the person.
