‘Tis the season for decorating your apartment, playing endless holiday music and getting your family and friends something special.  Holiday gift shopping for loved ones can be overwhelming, but we have a few diys and great affordable items to buy for different personalities.

For the Baker…

If someone on your list loves to bake and their kitchen always smells like fresh cookies, we have the perfect gift for them!  Find out what their favorite cookie is and put all the ingredients in a mason jar.  Mason jars present your gift with a vintage flare, while conveniently giving your baker a place to store the cookies they bake.  A great cookie to make is Candy Cane Chocolate Chip.  For the mason jar mix, you’ll need a 1-quart mason jar, measured all-purpose flour with baking powder and baking soda, brown sugar, white sugar, salt, chocolate chips and crushed candy cane.  Once that’s done, you can decorate the jar with ribbon or yarn.

For the Tech Trendsetter…

Give your loved one a relaxing, tech immersed night with bath bomb with epsom salt and bluetooth speaker gift basket!  Waterproof speakers are great hands free way to listen to music in the bathroom or outdoors.  I have two affordable ones from Amazon and I absolutely love them.  Bath Bombs have become a popular trend, are simple to make, and a great diy as gifts.  What you’ll need is epsom salt, baking soda, cornstarch or arrowroot powder, citric acid, coconut oil, a spray bottle of witch hazel or water, liquid food coloring and your choice of essential oils.  For a colorful effect, color the salts with food coloring beforehand your loved one’s favorite colors.

For the Cocktail Lover…

Hot chocolate is a winter staple, but your loved ones that are usually the bartenders at holiday parties will be more partial to this drink.  As another gift in a mason jar, all you’ll need for this chocolaty DIY are mini marshmallows, hot cocoa powder, a mini bottle of your choice of spirit (some options are Baileys or Rum Chata), and twine or ribbon for decoration.

For the Camper…

Does your loved one like to camp, hike or take road trips?  Adventures like these just aren’t the same without s’mores snuggled up by a campfire.  Make a DIY “happy camper” mug, and put a little camper’s treat inside.  For the “happy camper” mug, you can use a gold or silver sharpie to decorate your mug of choice, graham crackers, bar of chocolate, two large marshmallows, and a festive gift bag to put the s’mores kit inside.  This s’more mug will pair perfectly with a warm fire and blanket.

For the Entertainer…

Are you looking for the ideal gift for party lovers or planners?  Let them spread personalized holiday cheer with a gift box including string lights and clear ornaments.  These is a great (and adorable) idea for decorating a dinner party table as place cards or hanging up as garland.  Target is my go-to place to find affordable decorations, and they have a great set of clear ornaments too.

For the Photographer/Scrapbooker…

Give your loved one a gift that allows them to look back on treasured holiday memories. Scrapbooking is one of my favorite hobbies and I can never have enough scrapbooks.  Your loved one will appreciate a gift set with a disposable camera, scrapbook, markers, and stickers all wrapped in ribbon.  Make special memories this holiday season and throughout the New Year!

For the Fitness Enthusiast…

Looking for the perfect gift for the fitness enthusiast in your life who’s constantly on the go? This awesome blender allows them to make smoothies right into a to-go bottle, minimizing cleanup and cutting down time! Cue power drinks and liquid motivation for gym sessions!

For the Organizer/Planner…

Any Knock Knock products :) My personal favorites are the WTF Am I Doing pad (I ask myself this exact question multiple times a day) and the My Awesome Week pad for staying on top of short and long-term goals.

For the Makeup Guru…

For that family member or friend who’s made makeup collecting a full-time job, this cosmetics organizer is an instant hit. Not only will it help them keep everything within reach and nicely organized, but it also makes for a stylish display of their favorite products.

For the Social Media Addict…

Social media is more than a hobby now, and deserves its own category! For Instagrammers, try these adorable glitter photo frames, perfect for mini Polaroid prints. For the Snapchat addict, I love this “Snap Queen” tank, and for the Twitter-obsessed, these temporary tattoos are a fun gift. Grab a pack of celebrity tweets or let them customize the tattoos by using their own tweets!

For the Bookworm…

Everyone loves to relax while reading, and candles and a mug filled with a hot drink is the perfect way to set the mood for that special bookworm in your life! This cute and functional mug keeps them from being interrupted during their reading session, while these candles made to imitate scents from popular book scenes allow them to be fully transported to the world of their favorite literary pieces.

For the Sass and Shade Queen…

Finally, for the sassy, sarcastic people you couldn’t do life with out, I love this quotable dictionary of sarcasm and stylish IDFWU bracelet to ward off haters. ), (https://www.etsy.com/listing/266893505/idfwu-bracelet-quote-cuff-acronym…)
