Big award shows always have their up’s and down’s but here’s what I loved about this year’s Grammy’s:

1. Alicia Keys was the host: having her as the host made the Grammy’s iconic and inspiring. She even brought up her crew who all spoke about their journeys. Hello girl power!!

2. Camila Cabello’s performance: she really embraced her Latina culture, even bringing out Ricky Martin at the end. This performance was absolutely amazing, and I highly suggest watching it. She was the perfect opening for the Grammy’s this year and even more #girlpower!!

3. Janelle Monae killed her performance: she gave total Michael Jackson vibes, and this is another performance I highly suggest watching.

4. Dolly Parton had a tribute and it included Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and more. It was amazing, and Dolly is iconic!!!

5. Alicia Keys played two pianos at once: again, Alicia Keys is outstanding and so talented.

6. When Drake won his Grammy, he talked about what it’s like to be a true winner: he said it’s all about his fans and when they use the money they’ve been saving just for one ticket to your concert, that’s when you’re really winning as an artist.

7. When Lady Gaga won her Grammy, she addressed mental health: it’s so important and I’m so happy Lady Gaga was brave enough to mention it!! We all go through it, even artists.

Even though Mac Miller didn’t win a Grammy and Childish Gambino didn’t show up, this year’s Grammy’s were still memorable and worth the watch.
