Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) has always been one to make a statement. Though he started out as a comedian, his music blew him up more because of his raw, emotional, and extremely catchy songs. Along with being a comedian, musician, and Dj he is also a director, producer, actor, and writer. Atlanta and community are incredibly funny and hard hitting and funny shows.
After hosting and being the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, Childish released “This is America”. The song follows the same patterns that brought him to fame before, but his time he makes it a political statement. The message of the song is powerful and real. The music video absolutely blew my mind. Childish sugar coats nothing and makes a huge political statement through not only words, but imagery. Check out the video here!
