RAINN Day is an annual day held across the country to raise awareness of sexual assault on college campuses. This year, it was held on Thursday, September 17. The IUP Haven Project, which is dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and abuse and promoting healthy relationships, constructed its usual shrine to RAINN Day in the Oak Grove this year. In order to put this presentation together, the Haven Project invites everybody on campus to donate and decorate an umbrella with empowering messages for those who may have experience sexual assault or abuse. They then scatter the umbrellas about campus, making for a very inspiring environment. Check out some of the umbrellas that made an appearance this year!
