November During the Semester as Told by Grey’s

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

If you go to a university with a Fall break, it’s not that I dislike you; I just kind of envy you. For those of us who do not have a break until Thanksgiving, the November struggle is real. Thanksgiving is so close that you can almost taste it, but at the same time it is still so far away. Here is the month of November as told by Grey’s Anatomy.

Your sleep schedule is officially destroyed.

Crying from exhaustion is so a thing. When you aren’t getting enough sleep everything seems like the end of the world and you’re desperate for a few hours of good sleep.

You no longer can form rational thoughts.

When you aren’t focusing on an assignment your mind is absolutely all over the place. You know what you are thinking are extremely unlikely, but you can’t help it.

Days keep getting longer and longer.

When you see your bed at the end of the day you are overcome with emotions and let’s not forget those calls home when everything is falling apart.

Everything distracts you.

When you’ve been staring at the same assignment for what seems like an enternity, you’ll do anything to distract yourself.

All the crying.

This point of the semester is so stressful. You find yourself crying for no reason and not being able to stop. Yang may have been on to something…

If you are facing the November struggle, hang in there. A week long break will be here in eighteen days and during that break you get to stuff your face.
