10 Things People Who are Always Cold Understand

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

Now that Fall has officially started and the heat of Summer is almost impossible to find, people who are always cold are starting to have the thoughts they have every year around this time.

1. Why wasn’t I born an animal that hibernates?!

You’ve moved into your piles of blankets and refuse to leave until someone turns the heat back on outside.

2. Are you even wearing layers? Where’s your gloves, hat and scarves?

Girls who dress nice during this time are weird to you because you believe it’s too cold to be pretty. You definitely appreciate her effort, but you’re bundled up completely.

3. Ahhhhh scolding water.

You fantasize about taking long hot showers and often find yourself distracred by the thought of the warm water, but you still don’t want to leave your blanket pile.

4. Damn you hygiene and responsibilities!

You dread having to find the strength to move out of the blanket and you’re warm room to get that hot shower or to do anything else for that matter.

5. I could seriously be Elsa from Fronzen.

God help the person who comes in contact with your ice cold fingers.

6. I am my own Walgreens!

You carry A LOT of lip balm and lotion like it’s nobody’s business.

7. Ah warmth!

You’re constantly clutching a hot mug or cup of coffee or tea to warm your fingers.

8. Mmmmm, my insides are thawing out.

When you take the first sip of a hot drink, you feel like the insides are getting thawed out and that maybe, just maybe, you’ll make it through this season.

9. WHY DO WE NEED AIR CONDITIONERS ON? ITS FREEZING IN HERE IT MIGHT AS WELL BE WINTER!

Air conditioning is the worst and you don’t understand why the air is on when it is absolutely freezing outside.

10. T’S TOO COLD TO BE PRETTY! BE PRATICAL!

People sometimes stop to look at you funny, but you are wearing layers under your layers just for the sake of personal warmth.

For those who understand the struggle of always being cold, hang in there. Warmth will return again soon!
