As the snow starts to melt, birds start to chirp, and the temperatures start to rise (for now), it is no doubt that the anticipation of Spring is in the air. With a new season and a new year comes new fashion trends and this Spring is no exception. As the world’s most fashion savy cities round out their respective Fashion Weeks, it’s time to look back at what the hottest designers are dubbing this Spring’s  hottest trends.

1. The New Crop Top

Crop tops have been in style for awhile, however, this season designers introduced a more elegant and lady like crop top, one that would even be perfect for a Sunday brunch! It covers just enough of the mid- driff while at the same time, still bearing a little flesh.

2. Florals

Despite Miranda Priestley not finding florals for spring too groundbreaking, many designers, such as Chanel, showcased a variety of floral pieces on the runway this year. It only seems fitting that florals should be trending in spring.

3. Cool- Girl Gingham is the New Black

This bold style is making waves this spring.  Coming in all forms, you can wear gingham as a 60s- like dress, crop tops, adorable shorts, or power suits!

4. Colors, colors, and more colors!

This spring start looking for or breaking out your best Tangerines, Lucite Greens, Classic Blues, Aquamarines, Strawberry Ice, Custards, Glacier Grays, Scuba Blues, and the color of the year, Marsala!

5. Polo Shirts

Ralph Lauren’s iconic look which was ever so popular in the ’90s, is making a comeback this year. This spring, though, the polo shirt was sent down the runway by various designers, including Ralph Lauren! This version of the classic polo style is brighter and is being worn with a variation of bottoms, including skirts.

6. Flats and Sneakers

Our most beloved shoe styles, which offer us the most comfort, are quite in style this spring. RIP to our favorite heels.  Not that they haven’t been before, but this year you can pair your flats and sneaks with anything from dresses to printed pants, because designers have created new styles of chic and fashionable comfortable footwear.

7. ’90s Necklines

’90s nostalgia is at its all time high this season with this resurrected style of the classic look that Carolyn Bessette made so iconic. The squared high neckline is elegant and oh so ladylike.

8. The Shirt Dress

Another comfortable yet chic look that has kept its place amongst the top spring trends. This versatile look is perfect for accesorizing or wearing as, or with, a variety of this season’s prints.
