How to Stay Healthy During Flu Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ithaca chapter.

It’s that time of year again. Everyone is getting sick with the Flu. If you don’t have time to be bedridden for a week, or just want to avoid getting sick. Here are some simple tips you need to follow:

1. Get the flu shot

It’s not fun, but it’s quick, easy, and could save you a lot of suffering in the long run.

2. Do whatever you can to keep your immune system strong and running well!

Some things you can try are eating lots of fruits and veggies, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep at night.

3. Practice good hygiene

This includes always washing your hands after you use the bathroom or before you eat, staying away from other sick people, and use a tissue to cover your mouth and nose while sneezing or coughing.
