What is it really like living with your best friend?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Indy chapter.

Have you ever wondered what it is like to live with your best friend? Well, I live with my best friend and I love it. My best friend Maddie and I are currently living in an apartment.  I like to think of it as our own little slice of the world. Even though she is my best friend, her and I can sometimes get into little disagreements with each other. Although we may have little disagreements about certain things, I know that I am coming home to someone who I care about and who cares about me. Living with Maddie is like living with the sister that I never had or thought that I’d have. Living with your best friend is absolutely amazing, fun, and spontaneous. Imagine disagreeing with someone and then living within 15-20 feet of each other and sharing common spaces with each other. This amount of space does not give you a lot of room to avoid each other, it typically gives way awkward situations if you are angry with each other. Living with my best friend and having casual conversations is like talking to someone who knows exactly what I am thinking. People will always tell you that living with your best friend is a bad idea, but I completely disagree. I highly recommend living with your best friend because you will never have a dull moment, you will always have someone there that cares about you, you will never be alone and  it is your best friend so why wouldn’t you want to live with them.
