I’ve always been a firm believer in good karma, which I also believe is a two-way street. If you’re feeling extra nice one day or are in need of some good karma along the way, pay it forward. That doesn’t mean you have to donate $100 to your favorite cause, or spend hours on end volunteering. As college students, we may not have hundreds of dollars or a million hours in of free time to donate. But it’s still important to give back, so here are a few simple and inexpensive ways to pay it forward.

1.  Put extra change in a parking meter.

2.  Pay for the coffee of the person behind you in a drive-thru.

3.  Let someone with a few items go in front of you at the store.

4.  Offer to take groups picture.

5.  Write a cute sticky note for your roomie.

6.  Pick up your best friend’s coffee when you get yours.

7.  Hold the door for someone.

8.  Donate your old clothes.

9.  Volunteer at your local animal shelter.

10.  Give someone a compliment.

11.  Bake a batch of cookies and share them with your neighbors.

12.  Clean up a mess that’s not yours.

13.  Donate your old books.

14. Drive your friends to class when it rains.

15.  Surprise your boyfriend with breakfast in bed.

See how simple it is? These tasks are so easy to do, yet so noticeable to many. So, go out, pay it forward, and maybe some good karma will come your way!
