Mondays are the worst. It’s time to go back to classes (for me, an 8 a.m.) and Friday seems like forever away. For all the people who get through Mondays, or really any day of the week for that matter without drinking coffee, I would love to hear how you do it.

I never really considered myself a coffee addict until someone asked me how many cups of coffee I drink a day and I replied with 2-3. I thought it was normal, but apparently, it’s a lot. Spending all my flex dollars at Starbucks was also a huge indicator that I was a coffee addict, but I missed that sign too. I used to hate coffee when I was little, but now that I’m older, I grew a love for it and here is why.

Coffee is a girl’s best friend

Sad? Drink coffee. Happy? Drink coffee. Stressed? Drink coffee. No matter how you feel, coffee always helps. You can always turn to coffee during the bad days, and celebrate the good days with a cup in your hand!

Energy

The first thing I do every single morning, right when I get out of bed, is turn my Keurig on and brew myself a nice cup of coffee. It has become a habit, and it wakes me up in the morning. Whenever I feel tired, I just have a cup of coffee instead of taking a nap and I am productive. Without coffee, I feel it would be harder to function physically and mentally. If I am ever crabby, it is probably because I didn’t have my delicious cup of coffee yet.

It’s delicious

I take my coffee with a splash of vanilla creamer and 2 Splenda packets. I like my coffee sweet, and envy people who can drink just black coffee because I would love saving those calories. Coffee also tastes good with anything you eat. You can have it with a bagel for breakfast, or with a piece of pie for dessert.

It is just overall the best

Nothing is better than waking up on a Sunday morning and taking the first sip of your coffee. My favorite thing to do is read a book while drinking my coffee. That brings me true happiness. A cup of coffee also makes the best artsy pictures for Snapchat or Instagram!

I know I have been talking about coffee as if it’s the love of my life, but I ought to find someone that makes me feel the same way coffee does. If you don’t drink coffee on a regular basis and start to because you want to try it, I warn you that you might become addicted, just like me, clearly.
