Last week, instead of going to school, I spent the week traveling to Paris! Even though I am pretty behind on my school work, Paris was so worth it. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I highly recommend going for any of you with a travel itch. Being the typical tourist I am, I decided to make a list of all the places you have to visit if you’re ever in Paris!
- The Eiffel Tower
Obviously the notorious Eiffel Tower is a must see in Paris! Going to the top is one of the most beautiful and exhilarating experiences I’ve ever had. Even just seeing the beautiful landmark from the outside is amazing. Out of all the places I have traveled to and the things I’ve seen, the Eiffel Tower is one that I will always hold close to my heart.
2. Notre Dame
My family and I got tickets for a hop on hop off boat tour, and Notre Dame was one of the places we stopped at. It was an amazing cathedral that is incredible to walk through. The architecture itself is outstanding and definitely a must see if you’re ever in Paris!
3. The Louvre
Another typical tourist destination, The Louvre is a must see! The beautiful artwork, amazing statues, and obviously the Mona Lisa make this museum a very popular destination. Even the outside (the 3 pyramids) of The Louvre is beautiful!
4. Sainte Chapelle
This insanely beautiful chapel is one of the more underrated tourist destinations in Paris. The walls are made entirely of stained glass, making it a kaleidoscope of colors. I probably stayed in there for a good 20 minutes just taking it all in.
5. Arc de Triomphe
Trump definitely envies this landmark and so do I. Walking up the Champes de Elysees and shopping my heart out up to this beautiful arc is definitely an experience you have to have if you’re in Paris!
6. Angelina’s Café
One of my favorite places we ate was this little café near The Louvre. The hot cocoa is to DIE for! It is literally like chocolate melting in your mouth. Also, their desserts are freakin’ amazing. 10/10 would recommend.
Paris is one of my favorite places I’ve ever traveled to. If you ever get the chance to visit this beautiful and infamous city, I highly recommend hitting up all of these places! Also, be that tourist and take pictures of everything! My pictures are the only thing getting me through my endless amounts of homework and jetlag right now.
