Finding the perfect pair of jeans can be hard, but once you do— game changer. Since denim lasts a lifetime, make sure there is a timeless piece in your wardrobe: here are some styles just for you!

1. Bootcut

A timeless classic, the bootcut jean is the perfect everyday denim jean that can be dressed up with a dressy, accented top or kept casual with a t-shirt or sweater puller over. Having a natural, relaxed look to them, bootcut jeans balance out straight figures but don’t call too much attention to areas. These babies have the perfect mix of fitting snug and loose in all the right places! Hence the name, these jeans are designed to be paired with boots or ankle-high shoes and therefore have a staple piece in the fall and winter fashion seasons. Get a pair in every denim wash, I promise it’s worth it.

2. High waisted/Wedgie fit

Popularized by tumblr, wedgie fit jeans accentuate the waist and booty. Even if you’re not the most voluptuous womxn, these jeans (comfortably) hug tighter around these areas to accent your feminine physique. These jeans are best paired with something low cut on the top to show off the waistline created through the design and depending on the leg design, can be paired with a sneaker, ankle-rise boot, or even heel if dressed up. You can also distress the denim to give it more a worn-in look or edge style if desired!

3. Criss-cross

A new kind of design for denim, the criss-cross jean has just recently become popularized in fashion. Sometimes called the asymmetrical jean, these pants have a deconstructed hem look that gives the optical illusion of a more cinched waist, creating an hourglass figure for ya! These pants do the work for you while also having a comfortably cute dynamic. Every body type can sport and rock this trend, so hop on while they fly off the racks!

4. Flare

Probably your mom’s favorite, flare jeans are a crowd favorite for good reason! Popular in the 70s, these pants are designed to not only shape your legs but also elongate them to really give you that runway model stride. Bell bottoms are also a bolder form of flare jeans that bring contrast to the leg shape, torso, and shoulders; giving you very much the perfect disco/retro vibe. These jeans with a fitted top flatter you in all the right places, perfect for light autumn weather!

5. Low-rise

Next are the scary but insanely cute low-rise jeans. For a long time I feared wearing low-rise jeans because of my figure but once I learned how to dress them— the limits were endless! Low-rise jeans hug your hips and thighs, accentuating your feminine physique. These paired with a baggy tee or even a loose dressy top make for a cute and dressy moment or even a comfy and casual look.

6. Baggy

A newcomer to the fashion scene is the baggy jean. Most commonly worn in street fashion, this fad flatters your hourglass by narrowing your top half with the design of the big bottoms. Because of their casual design, these pants are often styled to be sporty and vintage. And again, for the fall season it’s perfect for the “I tried without trying” look.

7. High waters

The true 90s classic high waters are perfect for fall, serving very much academic scholar, tailored look. This design elongates the legs and has a naturally tailored look to the pant leg. Depending on the jeans’ wash, you can style them for a casual fit with tube socks or dress them up for a first date with ankle booties. Whichever you pick, both are a serve!

Hoped this helped and that you find the denim pair of your dreams, collegiettes!
