2018 is finally here, which means television networks are rolling out brand new premieres. For the TV lovers out there like myself, this is a time of excitement! Here is a list of ten television series that are currently a must watch.

1. Grownish (Freeform)

via Sitcoms Online

Grownish is one of the most-highly anticipated series premiere of the new year. Finally, we college students have a television show that we can relate to with no boundaries on what it’s like to be a regular student dealing with the craziness of college life. You can watch Grownish now on Freeform at 8pm Wednesday nights!

2. TGIT (ABC)

via Spoiler TV

Of course it was ideal to bundle the TGIT trio together since it’s considered one of the most iconic primetime lineups on ABC from Shondaland. Even though these three have always reign supreme on television networks for the past couple years, they always seem to leave their viewers on edge with their suspenseful cliffhangers in between their fall and winter premieres. Also, it has been confirmed that Scandal and HTGAWM will be doing two crossover episodes before Scandal officially ends this season. You should already know where to tune in on Thursday nights beginning at 8pm starting January 18th.

3. Roseanne (ABC)

via Sitcoms Online

Roseanne and the Connors will be heading back to your TV screens in 2018 with a surprising reboot! After ending the show almost 21 years ago, we will finally see how the Connors have grown up since the last episode that left many of us confused…and in tears. Expect its release March 27th at 8pm on ABC.

4. 9-1-1 (Fox)

via Fox

This show has become a personal obsession of mine since it aired at the beginning of the year. It follows the lives of first responders as they deal with life changing problems inside and outside their work environment. It seems that with each episode, producers keep your adrenaline running with the twisted plots that characters on the show have to endure. You can catch 9-1-1 on Fox at 9pm on Wednesday nights.

5. Ellen’s Game of Games (NBC)

via The Wrap

If you thought that game shows were boring and played out, Ellen’s Game of Games has you mistaken. Ellen makes her constants go through crazy obstacles for a chance at $100,000. It is a guaranteed laugh, and of course, who doesn’t love Ellen DeGeneres? You can watch Ellen’s Game of Games on Monday nights at 8pm.

6. America’s Next Top Model (VH1)

via Info For Your

The queen is back for her territory!  After receiving much criticism for last year’s reboot premiere of America’s Next Top Model, Tyra Banks has returned to bring the “fierce” back to the competition. This season, Tyra has both returning and new judges, along with a new set of rules. You can watch ANTM on VH1 Tuesday nights at 8pm.

7. Love and Hip Hop Miami (VH1)

via VH1

For the “ratchet TV lovers” out there, the Love and Hip Hop franchise is in a new city with a brand new cast. This time around, the show is taking an international turn with many of the cast members being from Latin-American descent. The only reason I feel that this is a must watch is because it gives viewers an inside look on the problems that Latino artists face in the industry, and helps promote the LGBTQ community more in depth than any of the other LHH franchises. Love and Hip Hop Miami is currently airing Monday nights at 9pm on VH1.

8. American Idol (ABC)

via 1019 The Wave

Last but not least, America’s favorite singing competition is back on a brand new network! After we were saddened by the news of the last season in 2016, ABC decided to pick the show up because they felt it could not just end there. It is uncertain when exactly it will air, but it is rumored that the show will be back on television closer to the summer!

Happy bingeing collegiettes, and don’t forget to set your DVRs!
