Taylor Swift didn’t waste any time following the release of her new album, Lover, by announcing her upcoming tour and festival dates. The pop star recently posted the details for her upcoming shows on Instagram and Twitter, where her posts are viewed by her millions of followers. In a recent post following the drop of her album, Swift wrote: “this album is very much a celebration of love, in all its complexity, coziness, and chaos.” Swift’s album cover is wrapped in bright, beautiful colors – with shades ranging from baby pink to sky blue. It centers itself around pure love and happiness. The cover itself represents what she is trying to portray with the announcement of her new tour.

The Lover album is a representation of Taylor Swift’s authentic songwriting and style. A quote by Will Hodgkinson from The Times expresses that “Lover is an example of what Swift does best: classic songwriting on everyday themes.” Taylor can use her talents to produce hits that not only have a catchy beat but also feature metaphors and lyrical images that paint pictures in the minds of every listener. The album consists of a variety of styles with songs that reminisce on Swift’s earlier style of songwriting, but also music that is reflective of today’s culture. “Lover has the jams to skip around your house to as well as the songs for you to cry alone in your bedroom too, and if you’re lucky enough, to enjoy with your lover,” says Alex Kazemi from V Magazine. Swift is praised and recognized for her ability to make her listeners think and feel while they are enjoying her music.

Swift’s recent post on Instagram stated, “the Lover album is open fields and sunsets and SUMMER.” This is her first album that she has ever owned herself, and she has commented that she wants to perform the album as authentically as possible – which could only be possible by playing festivals. Swift mentioned that she wanted to go places and perform where she’s never been before. Since there cannot be festivals everywhere, the singer has created her own – which are going to be called Lover Fest East and West.
