The Positive in Pinecrest

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FIU chapter.

Fun spot in the neighborhood

“Shop at the Pinecrest Gardens Farmers Market where GREEN never tasted so good!” — village of Pinecrest
From 8am to 2pm enjoy a sunny Sunday walking with your friends, family, and pets!

Foot traffic is back and better than ever since the long stood silence since covid started. In the heart of the village of Pinecrest, the Pinecrest gardens farmers market is open. From lobster rolls to açaí bowls to even crystal necklaces, you can find a variety of goods here. All vendor shops are family and locally owned. With the recent rise in supporting small businesses, this is definitely a spot in Miami you want to stop by.

An extremely important part of this activity is to arrive early in the morning so that you can find parking close to the entrance. This will save you from excessive sun exposure and a long walk. The event is also pet-friendly, so bring your fur-friends along for the adventure! You can enjoy the fresh cut grass, the smells of all the different foods being sold under each tent, and meeting new fur-balls! I brought my Yorkie with me and together we enjoyed the event.

Each vendor had a different environment and atmosphere that made visiting each stall an exciting experience. You will be able to see florists and food stalls such as dumpling and sushi stands, which I absolutely loved.

The experience was an 11 out of 10 and I hope you all take my word for it and pass by. No need to stay for the full opening and closing, but definitely an hour and a half will have you walking, eating, laughing, and loving the way your day started.
