What are you involved with on/off campus? I work for American Eagle and I am a freelance writer for Thought Catalogue. My favorite things to write about are things that are going on in the world that everyone knows about but no one picks up on how interesting they really are. I’ve written articles like “Reasons why redheads are awesome” and “Reasons why we should give sandwiches more love”.

Why Emerson? I picked Emerson specifically for the program, because while I was in high school, I wrote two musicals that were produced, so I knew that I had a love for story telling and I liked the idea of doing it on the big screen.

What makes you so passionate about the industry of film and television? I love that people have the ability to tell a story that is raw and authentic and it can be uncensored, where as in a lot of other work places, you have to censor yourself.

What is your favorite #SoEmerson moment? When Valarie makes you rice bowls at the vegan station and KILLS it #SoEmerson

What is your favorite TV show and movie, since obviously you have a love for those? My fave TV show: I was big into Modern Family, currently digging Revenge. My favorite movie is Crash, you should watch it, because it is so well thought out. There is not a single scene in the movie that doesn’t correlate and flow with the next. It’s the perfect example of productively using every second of your time.

Comedy or drama? Comedy for TV, Drama for film

Favorite food? Raw Cookie dough, with a spoon, because then I can share.

Favorite store to shop at? All my roommates’ closets haha

Favorite thing to do during fall in Boston? Putting my headphones and going walking for hours because it is so perfect out in the city!

Favorite place in Boston? The movie theater, because I get really excited every time I sit down and see “Written By” on the big screen because that’s what I want to do.

Tell us a fun fact: I run into a lot of celebrities but I always forget their names when I meet them. I sold Jason Sudeikis a pair of sneakers and I looked at him and said, “Hey, you look like an actor named Jason.”
