With Halloween just around the corner, we are all faced with the somewhat daunting, yet very exciting choice of what we are going to wear. With three nights of celebrations, the possibilities seem endless. But how will you stand out this fall? Believe me – there are a million costume ideas that are better than a bad cop or a sexy nurse.
Originality is key, after all, wouldn’t you rather be the funniest and most memorable costume as opposed to just another girl wearing cat ears and a black skirt? I know I would, so I’m here to help you out with a few tips and ideas.
- Think outside the box. A humorous costume is always a good idea and even if it isn’t the sexiest of options you will definitely make an impression and it can serve as a great conversation starter. Believe it or not, you can be funny and hot all at once. Why not make fun of a celebrity?

- Don’t be afraid to be comfortable. Who says guys are the only ones who get to be comfortably dressed when they go out? You don’t have to be wearing sky-high heels and fishnet tights to have a great time. Consider this… you could actually wear a bathrobe and slippers out and be dressed as a grandma. Who’s the real winner… you’ll be warm AND you’ll be able to walk!

- Do something as a group. No I’m not talking about you and your two besties dressing up as mean girls–that’s #basic. Think bigger, much bigger. If you have a large friend group that is up for something a little different here are some ideas. Dress up as inmates with hilarious reasons for being in prison. Dress up as characters of your favorite television series or childhood show (Sons of Anarchy, Orange is the New Black or Gossip Girl anyone?) The possibilities are really endless.
