Meet Liam Byrnes! You have probably seen him around campus sporting some type of Cubs attire. Liam is involved in a lot of things on campus, such as Green Dot, DePauwCappella, the First-Year Mentor Program, and Civic Fellows. I thought it would be interesting to get Liam’s opinions on some debatable topics.
HerCampus: Hey Liam, so I am going to start off with some broad questions!
Liam Byrnes: Okay, sounds good.
HC: What are you involved in on campus?
LB: I am a first-year mentor, Green Dot intern, Admissions Ambassador, Civic Fellow, a member of DePauwCappella, and the debate team.
HC: What do you do in your free time?
LB: Watch Cubs games, read about the Cubs, and collect Cubs paraphernalia.
HC: What is your opinion on pineapple as a pizza topping?
LB: I do not like pineapple, so why would I like it on my pizza?
HC: Is a hot dog a sandwich?
LB: Ah, a classic debate. I used to argue ‘no’ to this, but I have recently decided to answer ‘yes’ and say it is a sandwich.
HC: What mythical creature do you think should exist?
LB: I would say a unicorn, but maybe a Pegasus because it has wings.
HC: Would you say cereal is a soup?
LB: Is this even a debate? No, it is not.
HC: Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule, Liam!
LB: Anytime!
Hopefully some of these questions are conversation starters for you and your friends as we begin a new semester!
