5 Stands to Check Out at the Boulder Farmer’s Market

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CU Boulder chapter.

With leaves turning Halloween orange, pumpkin spice back on every menu (and Instagram), and a chill in the air, it’s undeniable that fall is upon us here in Boulder. Wondering how to celebrate the coziest season of the year? Look no farther than the Boulder farmers market! Whether you’re seeking some new content for your Instagram, tasty treats, or just a good time with friends, this farmer’s market will deliver. To make things easier for you here is a list of five of the best stops at the market!

First Fruits Organic Farms

There’s no better place in the world to get fresh produce that the farmers market! First Fruits Organic Farms does not disappoint, offering a wide variety of tasty fruits from plums to pears and more. This is an especially important stop for anyone living in the dorms. Dining hall fruit is less than subpar, so stock up at this stand!

Izzio Artisan Bakery

Calling all bread lovers! This bakery stand drew me in with their olive loaf, which was as delectable as it sounds. With the option to buy either a full loaf, small ciabatta, or individual pastries, there is something for everyone at this stand. The individual mini ciabatta is perfect for those with limited space in the dorm and the pastries are the perfect morning treat! It is important to note that this stand only accepts cash payment.

Fortuna Chocolate

Tucked away behind the many tents at the market is the Fortuna Chocolate truck. Large, brown, and very Instagrammable, this truck sells slabs of organic small-batch chocolate of every kind. If you visit the market on a chillier day make sure you grab a cup of their rich, delicious hot cocoa sipping chocolate. While the chocolate at this truck is on the pricier side the premium taste is worth the couple extra bucks.

Silver Canyon Espresso Bar

The farmer’s market is best hit in the early hours when the best stands still have their best products. This list would be incomplete if I omitted the most essential early morning necessity, coffee. Silver Canyon Espresso Bar is a must stop for all espresso drinks. The hazelnut latte was top shelf and they also serve an amazing cold brew. If you are a more straight up coffee drinker check out their other stand, Silver Canyon Coffee for all the coffee basics.

Savory Saigon – Vietnamere Food & Crepes

You can never go wrong with a good crepe. Savory Saigon proves this right with a menu of delectable savory and sweet crepes. There’s no better way to end your farmer’s market experience than by enjoying this tasty treat while sitting out in the warm Boulder sun. My recommended crepe combination is the Nutella raspberry crepe, however, if you’re looking for something for savory check out the just as yummy brie and walnut crepe.

The Boulder farmer’s market is a must for the fall, so don’t miss out on these five amazing stands and the dozens of others! The market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is a sure stop for some good, fall fun!
