1) What is your favorite part about being in Dixie Skydivers?

Skydiving!
But on a more serious note, I really enjoy encouraging fellow students to step out of their comfort zone and learn a new skill. It’s a lifetime sport, and you meet a lot of really incredible people.

2) What is your favorite thing about Clemson University?

My favorite thing about Clemson is the connection you have with every other person who has ever gone to school here. No matter how long ago, no matter their degree. There’s something about Clemson you only understand if you go here. I guess it all boils down to the feeling of being a family.

3) What do you do as Dixie Skydivers president?

As president, I organize club meetings and (parachute) packing classes, and I coordinate with our local Drop Zone to arrange first jump classes for new members.

4) How can you get involved in the club?

Join us on Orgsync, come to packing class (Wednesday nights), and attend a first jump class!

5) What is your favorite Clemson tradition?

I would have to say it’s that we, as a school, always build a house for Habitat for Humanity every Homecoming. I would love to be more involved in that process.

6) What made you try skydiving the first time?

My friend in high school wanted to try it, but her mom wouldn’t let her, so my parents volunteered to go with me. We all did a tandem out of the Walterboro Airport the next weekend. It was pretty spontaneous. After that, I decided I needed to learn how to skydive on my own, so I joined the Clemson Skydiving Club.

Hey! My name's Liz and I'm a Sigma Kappa at Clemson University! I love my school more than anything in the world and love sharing that with y'all!!
