Up Your Outfit Game on Game Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cincinnati chapter.

When the smell of soft pretzels drifts through the air, and students walk through class in shades of black and red, you know it’s game day. There’s something exciting in the hours leading up to kick off. With corn hole, cookouts, and dedicated fans there’s something to love for everyone. Game day outfits are definitely one of the things we love, and here are some ideas to show off your Bearcat pride in style.

  1. Revamp a UC t-shirt by cutting it in a specific way, and then adding lace or edging.

  2. Wear a long jersey as a dress for a cute outfit.

  3. Get black or red ribbon to make chokers, braid into your hair, or make a bow and tie it around a ponytail.

  4. Red lipstick makes a bold statement. You could also wear black lipstick for a blackout, or even find a way to ombré the two.

  5. Show some pride with every clap or wave of your hands with nails painted in red and black!

  6. Get a pair of ripped jeans and cover the back of the holes with black lace or patterned fabric for an easy way to make big impact.

  7. Red shoes, black shoes, or white shoes and high socks add instant school spirit. If you want to get really into it, change the laces, wear colored ankle socks, or if you have 2 different colors of the same shoe, wear one of each.

  8. Beaded necklaces in our colors paired with a plain shirt are always a simple way to show Bearcat pride.
