I may be in my second year, but this is my first year at UC. After one year at Kent State University, I decided it just wasn’t for me and decided to come to the city. What’s ironic is that when I toured UC back in the fall of my senior yearI didn’t like that it was in the middle of the city. I thought I wanted more green space.  Now that I’ve been here for a little over a month, I have completely and utterly fallen in love with this campus. I personally feel like it’s the #HottestCollegeInAmerica. I’m definitely not alone, UC has started to crack some lists of the most beautiful campus’ in the United States for instance: Travel and Leisure and BestCollegeReviews.org

McMicken Commons: One of the best places on campus to sit under a tree and work on homework or if you’re like me, a great place to people watch. For once (in Ohio), it’s been so nice and there’s always a ton of people there. We also have our lovely TUC building (Home for Chik-Fil-A and HerCampus meetings).

The Quad: The Quad, as you can see, is a beautiful space between three buildings: Old Chem, Baldwin, and Swift this is where I have most of my classes. These buildings are my favorite on campus because I love the old look of them. I love the brick with the off-white paint and how can you look at Baldwin with those pillars and not fall in love with it?

Sigma Sigma Commons: Another great place to people watch!. I love the hills that add to the green space and sitting on the steps of the amphitheater. It also goes straight out into the city, right from campus to Cincinnati. There’s also a great napping spot nearby in the tress where people hang up these hammocks that zip up so people can’t bother you.

Now that looks like something I need to invest in! Of course I have to leave off with the newest and grandest feature of UC’s campus, which is located smack dab in the middle of campus, and that makes me smile every time I walk byNippert Stadium!

They worked long and hard on this all summer, which was a mess because I had summer classes and sometimes I had to come to campus, but the end result is absolutely beautiful. It rivals some of the great college football stadiums.

I feel incredibly lucky that I get to be on this campus every single day and I’m able to enjoy it no matter the weather. I may not be still saying this when there is a foot of snow on the ground. Can’t wait to be awed by your beauty tomorrow, UC!
