Why did you decide to go to UC?

I wanted a change from high school and Hudson. UC was a big deal for me to step out of my comfort zone and go somewhere that I didn’t know many people. Not many people from my high school came here and I wanted the chance to meet new people and start over.

You were Panhellenic Recruitment Chair this year. How did you get involved with the Panhellenic community? And what was your experience like running recruitment?

After serving as recruitment chair for Delta Delta Delta, I decided I needed to do something more to serve the community. I didn’t know many people outside of my chapter so I applied for Panhellenic Council. Not serving as a Rho Gamma before, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would receive the position as Vice President of Recruitment. My experience was amazing and full of ups and downs, but the ride was worth it in the end. I made friends with girls from different sororities and can truly say they are my sisters and will be my friends forever. Helping people find their home and seeing their faces on bid day was truly a surreal experience for me.

If you were to give advice to a girl who was debating between going through recruitment or not what would it be?

I would say give it a try! You really have nothing to lose. Being in Greek Life isn’t for everyone, but you never know until you try. The worst thing that could happen is that you meet new friends and get to talk to people you never would before.

Where is your favorite place to study on campus?

My favorite place to study on campus is Starbucks or Einstein Bagels. I need to have background noise when I study so I don’t hit up the good old Langsam library.

You have an amazing job with iheartmedia, what has been your favorite part about working with that organization?

The experience has been everything I ever dreamed of. Event planning has always been the job I wanted to pursue and I never thought I would have this opportunity. My co-workers are amazing, and my job is something new and exciting every day.

What is your dream job?

^^^ Event planning

What is your favorite bar district in Cincinnati and why?

I like going downtown in general. I like bars in OTR and the Banks, they have a little bit to offer for everyone.

What is your favorite restaurant on Campus and why?

I would have to say Keystone. It’s the only place on campus you can get a really good meal, and try some craft beers as well.

You are going to be graduating at the end of the semester and have the wisdom of 4 years of college under your belt. What advice would you give to freshman just coming to UC?

My advice is – don’t do what I did. Honestly, if I had the chance I would re-do college and not focus as much time as I did on the relationship I was in. I fell in love and spent entirely way too much time with him and missed out on a lot. On the other hand I got so involved that I took on more than I could handle. I let people take advantage of me and I said “yes” to everything. If I had to do it again, I would do college for MYSELF. I would be more selfish, and do things that make me happy, instead of trying to please everyone else.

Will you be decorating your graduation cap? And if so do you know how yet?

I will be decorating it, but I’m not sure how yet! Definitely have some bearcat logos on it!

How will you be celebrating graduation?

My family will be coming into town, all 20 of them. I’m having a dinner and party later that night after graduation with family and friends.
