Fried Chicken Wednesday
A day at CAU that deserves its own holiday. Yes, we're talking about Fried Chicken Wednesday and it's really important to CAU students. This is the one day that students look forward to spending 30 mins-2 hours in the Crogman Eatery, aka, the Caf.
If you're at student at CAU, you know that the 12pm lunch period is worst than traffic on GA-400 or I-75, but every minute is worth standing in line for that cornbread and fried chicken. Yumm!
Matriculation
Only the best of the best attend Clark Atlanta University. As one of the oldest and youngest HBCU's, the term "matriculation" is key at this institution. It means more than just attending CAU. It means you overcome obstacles, while at CAU and live to tell the story at your graduation.
If you're a student at CAU, you will hear "matriculation" from professors, falculty, staff, upperclassmen, and your favorite pals, the Orientation Guides (OGs).
Dance Rituals
At CAU, every function consist of a unity dance that students and faculty alike dance to everytime.
If you're a student at CAU, then you know our anthem is the song "Swag Surf." The only song, besides "Before I Let Go" and " " Cha Cha Slide" that allows you to unite with a fellow Panther and rock side to side giving praise.
Greek Life
When your Ques can grill chicken, give a tour, and hop like their life depends on it... at the same time! Then, you know you're at CAU!!
From the yard shows on the promenade, the events, even down to the community service, the Greek Life at CAU is unlike any other university.
Woodruff Library
When everyone within the AUC decide to study in the library, you know that its either midterms or finals week approaching. At these times of the semester, the library is open 24/7 and literally every student is occupied at a computer, study room, or table studying. To relieve stress, student organizations pass out free snacks, supplies and drinks!
With hundreds of students in the library, its impossible not bond or meet new friends. That;s why the library is also called, Club Woodi!!
If you're a student at CAU, then you know its a hassle trying to study in the library during midterms and finals. However, Club Woodi has everything you need, so you still go to the library.
