Five Thanksgiving Treats to Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at C of C chapter.

Thanksgiving is a time of family, friends, and food. Sure, we all have our favorite Thanksgiving dishes (mine is mashed potatoes) but dessert really takes the cake. As you go home for Thanksgiving, think about how you want to make this holiday a little different. I’m sure your mom misses you, so why not show her how much you appreciate her and love spending time with her by making some cute Thanksgiving treats together! Here are five of my favorite recipes:

1. Chocolate Filled Pumpkins

Who doesn’t love chocolate and cute little pumpkins? Nothing screams fall quite like this.

2. Pumpkin Pie Dippers

This fun twist on pumpkin pie is so adorable! You can have them as a dessert snack while spending time with your family and friends.

3. Mini Sweet Potato Souffles

Whomever said they don’t like sweet potato pie is lying to you. Are they dessert or part of the meal? No one will ever know, but you know you for sure that you’ll be coming back for seconds.

4. Samoa Apple Slices

Throwback to high school when you’re anticipately awaiting your Girl Scouts cookie arrival. Now you don’t need to wait any longer because you can make them yourself.

5. Turkey Pilgrim Cookies

You don’t have to be a kid to make and enjoy these cute critters! They almost look too good to be eaten, but make them for a little sibling and they’ll love them.

Thanksgiving is a few days away and it’s a special time where we surround ourselves with those we love and appreciate. Show your family how much you love spending time with them by having a bake day!
