3 Ways to Beat Your Mid-semester Blues

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Buffalo chapter.

Congrats! You made it halfway through another semester. However, after countless exams and papers, it’s easy to fall into a slump. Here are 3 ways to beat the mid-semester blues!

1. Set Goals for the Rest of the Semester

Creating goals will help you realize what you want to get done in the next two months. Whether it’s to hit the gym more, obtain a certain GPA or to make more friends, it’s not too late! Writing down your goals will spark motivation and push you to be more productive for the rest of the semester.

2. Treat Yo’ Self

When you’ve been working and studying all week, it’s easy to feel burned out. Treat yourself to a break! Get a manicure, buy your favorite ice cream or simply just take a nap. Setting aside time for yourself can help you feel rejuvenated and ready to tackle the rest of the week.

3. Get Off Campus

With spring break coming up, this one is a given. The time away from classes and responsibilities will create more energy and get you ready for the months to come. Besides spring break, it’s always nice to get away from campus. Exploring Buffalo on the weekends or even just going out for dinner- instead of the dining hall- is a nice way to get away from it all.

Good luck on midterms and have a good spring break!
