Bryant University Faculty, Staff and Students love to give back. Whether it is giving back to the Smithfield/RI communities, or to national charities, Bryant gives back. And in two weeks you have the chance to give back to an amazing charity. Sigma Sigma Sigma is hosting a week-long event for their national philanthropy, the Robbie Page Memorial. Better yet, they want YOU to be involved. So whether you are a member of Greek Life or not, April 1st through April 4th is Bryant’s chance to make a difference in terminally ill children’s lives.

Sigma Sigma Sigma’s national philanthropy focuses around the theme “Sigma Serves Children,” specifically through the Robbie Page Memorial. Established in 1951, following the death of the National President Mary Hastings Holloway Page’s son, the RPM supported various polio research projects. When a cure for polio was discovered, the Robbie Page Memorial focused its attention on long-range programming to develop and support play therapy for hospitalized children. Through focusing on the emotional and developmental needs of hospitalized children, funds raised by Sigma Sigma Sigma members help to not only establish playrooms, but also create a specialized field of study for professionals in child development and associated health care professionals.

During the first week of April, you have the opportunity to help Sigma Sigma Sigma in their goals of providing a safe, therapeutic place for hospitalized children, with appropriate educated professionals. For every $3 donated to the Robbie Page Memorial, you will receive 1 raffle ticket (2 for $5). Tickets will be available in the ROTO all week, in addition to the events taking place around campus all week. What’s at stake in the raffle? A spring weekend basket, a spa day basket, a food lover basket, and a ton of gift cards to all your favorite stores and restaurants. You can help do your part in any of our events taking place during the week.

Tuesday: Come play board games in the ROTO for some “play therapy” between classes, and order Ronzios at night to be delivered in so you can donate your tips to the Tri-Sigma who delivers your food

Wednesday: Stop by the table in front of South to buy raffle tickets! Or take part in our game of Capture the Flag co-Sponsored by SPB at 4pM. The winning team will get a pizza party.

Thursday: Stop by the ROTO and make a card for a child in a hospital that Robbie Page Memorial sponsors. Participants will receive a sweet treat! Raffle winners will be chosen at 1:55 PM on in the Rotunda.
