As college students, we all have those days where we hit the snooze button more times than we should. With that comes running late, throwing on whatever clothes we can find and running out the door. If you’re lucky you may have time to grab a quick breakfast. I have some quick and easy breakfast ideas for you try next time you are running late.

  • A great quick and easy breakfast to start any day is instant oatmeal, my favorite is maple and brown sugar. You can buy a box of these at the store next time you go. There are so many flavors you can try. But all you do is pour the packet into a bowl, add water/milk and put in the microwave for 50 seconds.
  • Toast is a classic, you can put any topping you want on it whether its avocado, peanut butter with bananas.
  • If you are someone who enjoys having scrambled eggs for breakfast but you just don’t have the time to cook them on the stove try scramble eggs in a mug. All you need is two eggs, 2 tablespoons of milk, salt and pepper and cheese. Then microwave for one minute and 30 seconds.
  • If you are looking for something sweet try a PB&J waffle sandwich, all you do is put the two waffles in the toaster then spread the peanut butter and jelly, feel free to add any fruit you would like.

This next one is perfect for anyone who knows they want extra time in the morning to sleep or if you are someone who just is always running late but you would have time to prepare this in advance:

  • It’s called egg breakfast muffins, it’s delicious and pretty simple to make a head of time. All you need is eggs and anything else you would like to add like spinach, bacon, cheese, then just pour all the ingredients into muffin tin and bake it. All you do is store in the refrigerator and eat whenever you want.

Hopefully these breakfast ideas help you get more sleep in the morning!
