Have you heard about BC Splash?! If not, you’re really missing out!
Each semester, BC Splash brings hundreds of high school students from across New England to Boston College for a day-long program of courses taught by BC undergraduate and graduate students. As the high school students receive a unique taste of college academia, BC students are afforded a valuable opportunity to gain teaching experience and share their academic passions with others.
The best Splash courses teach advanced concepts with a fun, interactive approach so that high school students leave the classroom feeling inspired to pursue their own interests. Courses taught last semester include a broad range of subjects, ranging from “Popular Music Theory” and “Friendship through Toy Story” to “Japanese Language and Culture” and “Political Structures in the World of Harry Potter.” A full list of the classes which have been taught in the past may be found on the BC Splash website: bcsplash.com.
