Someone Wants to Make Beer From Vaginal Bacteria

Would you drink beer made with vaginal bacteria? Most people probably wouldn’t, but that isn’t stopping one company from trying to raise 150,000 euros to make it.

Cosmopolitan reports that Order of Yoni has a beer product that is brewed with the lactic acid swabbed from the inside of a woman’s vagina. But, the company insists that this is totally clean, especially since they are only using the vaginal bacteria from a Czech model, allowing men to have their dream woman in one bottle that demonstrates the “essence of her femininity.” Yes, we are also extremely skeptical. And grossed out.

The word “yoni” means “vagina” in Sanskrit and serves as the product’s label on the beer bottle and other merchandising items. However, the beer isn’t on sale yet for purchase, as the company needs a LOT more funding on Indiegogo in order to distribute the beer. So far they’ve raised 821 euros, meaning they’re less than 1 percent funded.

So, it’s more than a little upsetting that there are people who would pay money to drink the vaginal bacteria of a model they’ve never met. But hey, the more you know!
