Shake Shack’s Special Valentines Day Shake Is Going To Benefit Puppers & the Disabled

It’s that time of year again: plastic hearts filled with chocolate, Sweet Tart candies with cliche messages and of course, cheesy “Roses are red, Violets are blue” poems. Valentine’s Day. A day filled with love and appreciation. There are many things to appreciate —such as food, shelter or a loved one — but this year, fast food chain Shake Shack is focusing on the love for man and woman’s best friend.

According to Food & Wine, Shake Shack has collaborated with Canine Companions for Independence, a company that pairs assistance dogs with disabled for free. For every Love Shack Shake that is purchased on Valentine’s Day, Shake Shack will donate $2 to the company.

The iconic shake is inspired by B-52’s “Love Shack”  song, according to Genius Kitchen.

The delectable drink features a strawberry blonde milkshake, topped with mountains of whipped cream and dusted with edible glitter. Because, would it really be Valentine’s Day without some edible glitter?

Without say, the shakes are limited edition and will be sold at $5.99 a piece at limited locations in New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta according to Spoon University. So, for all of those who may be suffering from a broken heart this Valentine’s Day, let Shake Shack and some assistance dogs lick those tears away by purchasing a shake to help someone in need.
