Significant others everywhere, take note: because Serena Williams’s husband just set a new standard when it comes to relationship goals.
The tennis champion’s husband (and Reddit co-founder) Alexis Ohanian decided to go big or go home when it came to supporting and encouraging his wife as she headed to her second professional tennis competition since giving birth to her daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. and suffering a pulmonary embolism as a result of the pregnancy five months ago.
While many guys would go for flowers or some nice jewelry (which is all well and good) Ohanian took things to the next level by purchasing not one, but four billboards to tell Williams how much he loves her. Ohanian put the billboards up along I-10 in Palm Springs, California, a route he knew his wife would be taking on her way to the 2018 BNP Paribas Open. In succession, they adorably read, “Greatest Momma of All Time. Serena Williams G.M.O.A.T,” and feature some seriously sweet photos of Alexis Jr. and her amazing mother.
“These just went up on alongside I-10 into Palm Springs,” Ohanian captioned the photos he posted to Instagram of his thoughtful gift. “@olympiaohanian & I wanted to welcome her back to tennis. Designed them myself, with some help from Jr. #GMOAT”
All I can say is that Valentine’s Day 2019 is exactly 352 days away, which is plenty of time for our SO’s to figure out how they’re going to rent out billboards to proclaim their love to us — I’m just saying.
