Get Excited, Because Girl Scout Cookie Cereal is Now a Thing

If you love Girl Scout cookies, then it’s time to start freeing up some shelf space. Thrillist reports that we’re just a few months away from being able to eat Girl Scout cookie cereal for breakfast (and lunch…and probably dinner).

According to Thrillist, an Instagram account called Candy Hunting posted stock images of Girl Scout Cookie cereal. Thrillist contacted General Mills for comments on the images, and the food company told the source that its newest cereal will soon show up in stores across the country. Starting in January, you’ll get to choose between two flavors. 2017 is shaping up to be a sweet year.

Caramel Crunch is the cereal version of Samoas, or Caramel deLites.

And Thin Mints is exactly as its name suggests.

Obviously we’re craving more details, but a General Mills spokesperson told BuzzFeed that our stomachs have no choice but to remain calm. “We will provide additional information when we are closer to the launch,” the spokesperson said.

For now, you’ll just have to settle for a good ol’ fashioned box of cookies. What a tough break.

Which Girl Scout cookie would taste amazing in cereal form? Let us know!
