RSVP for Internships 101 with General Assembly & Her Campus in Boston

When you step into your summer internship, you really have no idea what to expect. Sure, you went in for an interview or read everything you could about the company, but other than that you’re pretty much going in blindly. Your friends try to help, but their internship experiences were unique to the companies they interned with and they haven’t even heard of the place you’re interning! You’ve been reading Her Campus non-stop, memorizing what never to wear and how to act around your fellow interns. But you still have a million more questions about not just how to survive your internship—but to excel at it.

Fortunately, Her Campus has your back (no one knows internships like we do!). We’re partnering with General Assembly for our Summer Internships 101 workshop in Boston on June 24. Her Campus co-founders Annie Wang and Stephanie Kaplan Lewis will be on hand to tell you what to expect in the beginning of your internship, how to set internship goals for yourself, help you enhance a sub-par internship experience and, most importantly, how to turn your internship into a job offer. Because that’s what it’s all about, right?

The event will be at General Assembly Boston at 51 Melcher St. from 6:30-8:00 PM, the perfect post-internship event! Bring your fellow interns or friends also interning in the city and have them RSVP for the event here.

The event is meant to be interactive and to answer your questions about your internship experience. Anyone can tweet questions for Stephanie and Annie ahead of time and during the event using the hashtag #InternFAQ.

Your internship should be a great learning experience – not a source of stress over things like how to behave at an office happy hour. Summer Internships 101 will help you enhance your experience so you focus on the important things and flourish every step of the way! See you there!
