McDonald’s is Releasing Burger-Scented Candles, Because Why Not?

Earlier this week, McDonald’s announced the launch of the Quarter Pounder Fanclub, a new addition to their online merch store. If you, like me, were living in blissful ignorance of the existence of the McDonald’s merch store, don’t feel too bad – it only went live in December of 2019.

Joining the normal offerings of burger, fry and McDonald’s smile apparel and accessories, the Quarter Pounder Fanclub introduced a small selection of limited edition products dedicated exclusively to–you guessed it!–the Quarter Pounder. The collection includes a bumper sticker, a locket, couple’s mittens, a wall calendar, a pin, a tee and a set of six soy candles scented like all of the burger’s key ingredients: the bun, of course, ketchup, pickles, onions, cheese and beef.

Yum! If you’ve ever dreamed of making your room smell like you live above Bob’s Burgers or lining your evening bath with fragrant burger ingredients, your chance is almost here. The McDonald’s Instagram has been counting down the release of each item individually, and the candles are all that’s left to come. The price won’t be revealed until the candles become available on the site, and the official release time is unknown, but I’m guessing they’ll become available sometime on February 21, and I’m betting they won’t last long, no matter the value – these candles are just crazy enough that I want them, just to say that I own burger-scented candle. I just wish a bacon one was included, too.
