If you loved jelly beans as a child, you might become obsessed with this line of jelly beans that has a new twist. The creator of Jelly Belly just launched a line of jelly beans infused with cannabidiol, and the entire world is freaking out.
David Klein created Jelly Belly’s jelly beans in 1976 and sold the company in 1980, per Cannabis Aficionado. Years later, the candy-obsessed creator couldn’t get his mind off the idea of a CBD jelly bean.
Now his company Spectrum Confections produced a CBD-infused jelly bean collection in 38 different flavors, USA Today reports. Flavors include strawberry cheesecake, toasted marshmallow, pina colada, cinnamon, spicy licorice, and mango. Each jelly bean contains 10 mg of CBD, and the beans have been coated in dextrose to help hide the CBD flavor. The website also offers seven assorted flavors in sugar-free, and 38 flavors are available in a sour jelly bean variety.
“We test each recipe with our lab to ensure that the correct amount of CBD is added to each piece,” the website explains. “We are a USA company who prides ourselves in having products that can be trusted as well as have the best flavor profile on the market. We know and love candy.”
CBD isn’t for everyone, but if it is, this seems like the perfect and delicious way to enjoy it. Although, I am warning you that the jelly beans are currently sold out on the website, but the site does suggest that you contact the company for any orders. Fingers-crossed that a restock happens soon.
