The Best Celebrity Halloween Costumes for 2012

It’s an obvious choice: to dress up like a celebrity for Halloween. But luckily, every Halloween brings in a new crop of hot celebrities to dress up as. Past hits that would be disastrous to dress up as for this year include Kate Gosselin, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, and Octomom. So don’t make the mistake this year of recycling that Lady Gaga costume from 2010 and check out the top celebrity-inspired Halloween costume ideas of 2012!

Nicki Minaj
She’s hotter than ever with her new Idol stint! So for October 31, add some spray paint to the biggest, brightest wig at the store and throw together the most outlandish outfit possible. Ta da, you’re Nicki. Now the only challenge is staying in character(s) all night (don’t forget about Roman!).

Angelina Jolie
Angelina the Homewrecker, Angelina the adopter, and Angelina the goth are all out! This year it’s all about Angelina with the leg slit. Any black dress will do — as long as you slice a big slit in it and show off your gams! Bonus: show off cell phone pics to anyone who you can of your many “kids.”

Tanorexic Mom
Sure, we use the term “celebrity” loosely here, but Tanning Mom, Patricia Krentcil, sure got her 15 minutes of fame this year. Pretty easy costume: trashy outfit + bronzer, bronzer, and more bronzer! And now you’ve got that beautiful oompa loompa glow Patricia perfected.

Honey Boo Boo & Mom
They’ve taken over TV this year! Alana Thompson and her mom, June Shannon, have become a pop cultural phenomenon this year. So grab a buddy – and dress up as this mother/daughter duo one night of Halloween this year! One of you goes super glam and embraces her inner toddler in a tiara, while the other embraces her down-home “southern charm” just like June.

Pregnant Snooki
Any other year, Snooki would be cliched. It’s not 2010 anymore! But with Snooki spending the majority of 2012 with a bun in the oven (she recently gave birth to her first son), she makes for a perfect celebrity Halloween costume. So grab bronzer, leopard print, and a baby bump and there you go. And it won’t even be that out of character for you to drink in costume (even though Snooki didn’t!).

Deadmau5
If you can’t get enough of Deadmau5’s music – and you’re crafty enough to duplicate his infamous head, this is the costume for you. Blast electronic music all night and don’t you dare take off that mouse head.

Blue Ivy
Ok, so maybe you will need to be Blue Ivy in 20 years… but regardless this is still a hot costume for 2012. Unleash the inner diva child of Beyonce and Jay-Z and be creative! Will Blue Ivy be a mini-Bey? A rapper? Just a normal (impeccably dressed) celeb child? You tell us!

Naked Royals
With dueling nude scandals, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry make for the perfect twosome Halloween costume. All you need is a crown and a nude colored bodysuit and you’ll have a royal scandal on your hand.

Amanda Bynes
After her epic mugshoot, and dangerous driving record, Amanda Bynes has earned herself a place in the 2012 celebrity costume list. All you need to do is act a little loopy and add some purple to your hair, and you’re good to go. Bonus points if you talk to yourself at the Halloween party.

Miley Cyrus
It might go over those less keen at celebrity news’s heads, but Miley Cyrus’s new haircut, engagement ring, and increasingly tattooed bod cannot be ignored as a possible collegiette Halloween costume this year. We don’t blame you if you stick to her cute topknot from earlier this year though!

Who will you be dressing up as this Halloween? Leave a comment!
